About Us

Our studio was founded in 2007 by Jana and Carlos Chapeton. It started as an on-site preschool dance program in preschools throughout the Bay Area. In 2011 the opened their first studio, and in 2014 they expanded to include school age children. Since then they have grown to one of the largest dance schools on the SF peninsula. Styles offered include ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, lyrical, and musical theatre.

About You

We are looking for talented educators that love working with kids. We want teachers that want to push their students and get the most they can out of each dancer regardless of what level they are in or challenges they may face. If your goal is to someday open your own studio…WE WANT YOU. It speaks to your dedication to this type of work and we would love to grow with you.

Position

We are looking for a PT teacher (w/ potential to move to FT in the future). The current times that are available are listed below. If you can do any or all of the days below, please reach with your resume. Candidates will be contacted about interviews ASAP. Classes in these pockets vary in style and level but are mostly school age classes in hip hop, lyrical, ballet, and contemporary. If you’re interested in leading a competitive team (experience required) please be sure to include that in your email when you reach out.

Mondays 5:30pm – 9:00pm
Tuesdays 5:30pm – 9:00pm
Thursdays 3:30pm – 9:00pm
Fridays 3:30pm – 6:30pm
Saturdays 9:00am – 12:00pm
Sundays 9:00am – 12:00pm (not currently running, but would start if someone is available to teach preschool age classes)

Pay Rate
Depends on experience and education. You can expect to start between $30-40/hr and up. Sick pay and Calsavers offered.

About Small Fry Dance Club / Principal Creative & Performing Arts
SFDC and PCPA are one school separated into two programs. Our school has been in business for 16 years. Small Fry teaches on-site and studio dance classes to preschool and school age students. Dancers range in age from 18 months to 5 years. Principal Arts is our more traditional studio program for ages 5 through 18. PCPA offers a variety of styles including ballet, jazz, tap, musical theatre, hip hop, lyrical, and contemporary.
